Change - that is the constant in the work of Tony Cragg. Hardly any other sculptor lends his sculptures such a dynamic elegance. "Material is everything," states the artist born in Liverpool and living in Wuppertal since 1977. But it's not just stone, bronze or wood that interest him. He works with stainless steel, fiberglass and Kevlar, a fiber otherwise used to make bulletproof vests, with as much ease as traditional materials.
